For other uses, see Black Dog. Blackdog is a hamlet approximately 2 miles north of the city limits of Aberdeen, Scotland. It was planned to be the location of a wind farm. It will be the terminus of the planned Western Peripheral Route, a planned bypass for the city of Aberdeen. The nearby area serves as a shooting ground, and is used by the British Army for training. A public house called The Black Dog can be found in the nearby suburb of Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.
