Milnathort is a small village in the Perth & Kinross region of central Scotland. The smaller neighbour of nearby Kinross, Milnathort has a population of roughly 2000 people. It is situated amidst picturesque countryside at the foot of the Ochil Hills, and near the north shore of Loch Leven. Recently, it has become more easily accessible due to the development of the M90 motorway.

Milnathort, market town with ry sta., Orwell par., Kinross-shire, on North Queich Water and near Loch Leven, 1¼ mile NE. of Kinross Junction, pop. 1269; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Market-day, Wednesday. Milnathort has mfrs. of tartan shawls and plaids, and important livestock sales.
