Yorkhill, Glasgow City

Yorkhill is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde in the West End of the city. It is known for its famous hospitals; the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Yorkhill and the Queen Mother's Maternity Hospital. The Kelvin Hall and the Glasgow Museum of Transport are also located in Yorkhill. The area is mostly residential, with the housing stock consisting of sandstone tenement housing built in the 20th century by the Overnewton Building Company.
