Queenslie, Glasgow City

Queenslie is a district in the Scottish city of Glasgow. It is situated just to the east of Cranhill and west of Wellhouse and Easterhouse. Modern Queenslie started as an industrial estate in the 1950s with housing added a short time later. The area was once farmland, built mainly on te Queenslie Farm. In the William Roy map (1747–1755) the farm and general area was spelled as Quinsley which latterly evolved into Queenslie.
