Gogar is a predominantly rural area of Edinburgh, Scotland, located to the west of the city. It is not far from Gogarloch, Edinburgh Park and Maybury. The Fife Circle Line is to the north of the city.

Gogar, ancient par. (now chiefly in Corstorphine par.) and hamlet with ry. sta. (1 mile SE. of hamlet), in co. and 5½ miles W. of Edinburgh; in vicinity of hamlet are the seats of Gogar House, Gogar Burn House, Gogar Mount, and Gogar Park; in vicinity of sta. is the seat of Gogar Bank.
