Palnackie is a village in the parish of Buittle in the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright. It has a population of approxiamatley 250. It has Post Office, shop, Cafe/Restaurant and Pub. It has a School and a Village Hall. Several businesses are based here including two haulage firms, a building contractor, electrician and skip hire business. Palnackie is a working sea port on the Urr Water which is visited by fishing boats and pleasure craft alike.
