Middleton, Lancashire

Middleton is a village and civil parish within the City of Lancaster in Lancashire, England, between Heysham and Overton. It had a population of 521 recorded in the 2001 census. Middleton was the location of Middleton Tower Holiday Camp, which opened in 1939 and was owned by Pontin's from 1955 until its closure in 1994. The holiday camp is now being redeveloped as a gated community with bungalows and apartments.
