Anderton is civil parish in the Borough of Chorley in Lancashire, England. It is now a suburb of Adlington, five miles northwest of Bolton, Its eastern boundary is in the Rivington Reservoir. Grimeford Village is in the parish. The parish has a population of 1,206. The M61 motorway runs north-south through the parish, and is the site of Rivington services.
