Sutton upon Derwent, East Riding of Yorkshire

Sutton upon Derwent is a small village and civil parish on the River Derwent in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, approximately 8 miles to the south-east of York. According to the 2011 UK census the population of the parish was 594, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 575, which itself represents an increase of around 50 per cent from 1991, largely due to new houses having been built in the village.
