Ketley, Telford and Wrekin

Ketley is a suburb of the new town of Telford in the borough of Telford and Wrekin and ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. It is a civil parish. East Ketley is currently being re-developed as part of the Telford Millennium Community, part of the Millennium Communities Programme. It will consist of around 750 new homes and some live/work units, a new primary school, some small offices and retail and leisure services.

Ketley, eccl. dist and vil. with ry. sta., Wellington par., in E. of Shropshire-dist., pop. 2962; vil., 1¾ mile SE. of Wellington by rail; P.O.; has extensive coal and iron mines; the ironworks are among the oldest in the kingdom.
