Alderley Edge is a village and civil parish within the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 4,409. Alderley Edge lies some 6 miles to the northwest of Macclesfield and 15 miles south of Manchester. It is situated at the base of a steep and thickly wooded sandstone ridge – Alderley Edge, which is the area's chief topographical feature. Alderley Edge overlooks the Cheshire Plain.
