Burnaston, Derbyshire

Burnaston is a village located in Derbyshire, just south of the city of Derby. The village is famous for its huge Toyota car plant - one of several British car plants built by Japanese carmakers as part of cost-saving measures to avoid such expenses as import duties and shipping costs. It opened on 16 December 1992. Burnaston House was demolished in order to make way for the car factory.
