Albert Village, Leicestershire

Albert Village is a small industrial village in Leicestershire, England largely built around a road junction. The area's heritage is in coal-mining and pottery manufacture, both locally defunct and it now serves largely as a dormitory site. The National Forest's visitor attraction 'Conkers' is at nearby Moira. The village is named after Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria. Albert Village is situated a few hundred yards from the South Derbyshire border.
