Rothley, Leicestershire

Rothley (pronounced "Row-thley") is a village and civil parish within the Charnwood borough of Leicestershire, England. Situated around 0.5 miles west of the River Soar and 5 miles north of the city of Leicester, it has a population of 3,612 inhabitants. Rothley centres around two Greens – the Cross Green and the Town Green – both of which are reached by a road that leads from the Crossroads. The Crossroads lies on the old route of the A6 road, which now bypasses the village.
