Pont-rhyd-y-groes (English: the bridge of the ford of the cross, also Pontrhydygroes) is a village in Ceredigion, Wales located near Cwm Ystwyth and Pont ar Fynach. The village takes its name from the bridge and (earlier) ford over the River Ystwyth. The area was formerly dominated by the mining industry, in particular by the Lisburnes.
