Markham, Caerphilly

Markham is a small village in the South Wales Valleys in Caerphilly County Borough, close to Blackwood. Built as a planned garden village, it grew out of the need to employ Markham Colliery. Today it is a district of the community of Argoed. The village has an active Congregational Chapel which is at the heart of the community, it is the only place of worship in the village and will soon be celebrating 100 years of worship.
