Knucklas, Powys

Knucklas (Welsh: Cnwclas, "green hillock") and Heyope (or Heyop) are two small adjacent villages in Powys, Wales. They lie off the B4355 road and are served by Knucklas railway station on the Heart of Wales Line. Both are approximately 2 miles from Knighton and lie in the upper valley of the River Teme and also a stone's throw away from the English border and the nearby county of Shropshire.

Knucklas, vil. with ry. sta., Heyop and Llanfihangel-Beguildy pars., Radnorshire, on river Teme, 2 miles NW. of Knighton; P.O. Knucklas (1193 ac., pop. 293) formed one of the Radnor District of Parliamentary Boroughs, which returned 1 member until 1885.
