Onibury, Shropshire

Onibury is a village and civil parish on the River Onny in southern Shropshire, about 4 miles northwest of the market town of Ludlow. Historically, Onibury was in the lower division of the hundred of Munslow. The parish includes the hamlet of Walton and was extended in the 1960s to include parts from Clungunford. It is close to the boundaries of the parishes of Stokesay (now part of Craven Arms parish) and Stanton Lacy. The country houses of Ferney Hall and Stokesay Court are in the parish.
