Whittlebury, Northamptonshire

Whittlebury is a village and civil parish in the south of the English county of Northamptonshire close to its border with Buckinghamshire. It is due south of the town of Towcester to which it is connected by main roads. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 586 people. Little is known of Whittlebury's pre-historic past. However, in May 2000, an Iron Age hillfort was discovered in the vicinity of St Mary's church and churchyard.
