Carnkie, Cornwall

Carnkie is a village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated approximately one and a half miles south west of Redruth. The village is built largely along the great flat lode (a massive mineral trail that was extensively mined), and is surrounded by numerous derelict mine buildings, most of which were built by the mining magnate, Count Bassett. There is a Methodist chapel in the heart of the village that is still regularly used.
