Burton Bradstock, Dorset

Burton Bradstock is a village and civil parish in West Dorset, England. Situated just inland from Chesil Beach, 3 miles east of Bridport, the village nestles around the church of St Mary the Virgin. Thatched cottages, built in the 16th and 17th centuries, punctuate the village, which contains two pubs, a primary school, shop, post office stores, beach café, hotel, garage, village hall, reading room and library. At the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 979.
