Barwick, Hertfordshire

Barwick is a hamlet in Hertfordshire, England. It is near the A10 road and the village of Much Hadham and the hamlet of Latchford. Barwick was created as a 'factory hamlet', in circa 1889, by a munitions company called - 'Smokeless Powder & Ammunition Company Limited'. The 'Smokeless Powder & Ammunition Co. Ltd', was purchased by the 'New Schultze Gunpowder Company', based in Hampshire, in 1898. There are no public houses in Barwick.
