Gilston, Hertfordshire

Gilston is a village located near the town of Harlow in the East Hertfordshire district, in the county of Hertfordshire, England. Together with the nearby hamlet of Eastwick it is part of the civil parish of Eastwick and Gilston. The name derives from an Old English personal name and tun and means Gedel's or Gydel's farm or settlement'. The population at the 2001 Census was 180.
