Shelfanger, Norfolk

Shelfanger is a village situated about 3 miles from the town of Diss in Norfolk, England. There is a church and a village hall in the village. It covers an area of 6.99 km and had a population of 362 in 150 households as of the 2001 census. In years gone by there were a school, a post office, a pub, three shops and a blacksmiths. These have all now been closed down, but there is a garage run by a family of brothers called Bowman. Josh Kirby (died 2001), an artist lived there.
