South Acton, Ealing

South Acton is a place in the town of Acton, West London, situated 6.4 miles west of Charing Cross. At the time of the 2001 census, Acton, comprising the wards of East Acton, Acton Central, South Acton and Southfield, had a population of 53,689 people. The area is dominated by the South Acton housing estate, a large sink public housing estate owned by Ealing Council. There are some 2000 residential dwellings on the estate, covering approximately 25 hectares of land.
