Snaresbrook, Waltham Forest

Snaresbrook is an area of north-east London, mostly in the London Borough of Redbridge. A small part falls within the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It was part of Essex until 1965. The name derives from a corruption of Sayers brook, a tributary of the River Roding that flows through Wanstead to the East.
