Sidcup, Bexley

Sidcup is a district in South East London and is a part of the London Borough of Bexley, with small parts of the district in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Located 11.3 miles south east of Charing Cross, Sidcup is bordered by the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Bromley and Sevenoaks District Council. Whilst now a part of Greater London, it was once referred to as the gateway to Kent.

Sidcup, vil. with ry. sta., Chislehurst par., and eccl. dist., partly also in Foots Cray par., Kent - dist., pop. 2739; vil., 4½ miles SW. of Crayford sta. and 13 miles SE. of London; P.O., T.O. Sidcup Lodge and Sidcup House are seats.
